A Quick U-Turn

Hello Family, Anyone who has ever driven with me knows that I have a really bad sense of direction. The GPS was invented just for me because I am always making the wrong turn and getting lost somewhere. I can't even count the many, many times that I had to pull into gas stations and ask complete strangers for directions because I found that I was lost. Let me tell you a secret...I think I am the only person in the world that can still get turned around and lost with a GPS. Lol. This is my truth and I stand in it. I need help! On Friday evening I found myself traveling using my GPS. I made a wrong turn and learned that I was driving in the wrong direction. I was heading towards a bridge that I was not familiar with, in an area that I did not know. I didn't want to continue to go the wrong way nor did I want to spend any time exploring the unknown. While I can be adventurous, this was not the time nor place. As I approached the bridge my heart dropped because it looked like I had no choice but to cross that bridge. I had to keep going the wrong way. "This is crazy", I thought, "Who in their right mind would want to continue going in the wrong direction?" Just before I got to the entrance of the bridge I noticed that there was a passage way allowing me to make a U-turn. I was delighted! I made a quick U-turn which immediately put me back in the right direction. I begin to calm down and drive with ease as I thanked whoever it was that was smart and thoughtful enough to create the U-turn right before the entrance of the bridge. How thoughtful it was to consider people like me who sometimes find themselves lost and want to get back on track. Overall, who likes to be lost? Not me! :) This experience made me think of God and His love for us. How He allowed Jesus to come down to earth, die on the cross for our sins, rise again on the third day so that He could be our U-turn. Can you see the beauty in this? Jesus is our U-turn! Jesus is our U-turn...our way back to being on the right track...our way back to the Father! For those of you who feel like you may be going the wrong way. You feel like your life is going in a direction that you don't want...a direction that you are not happy with. All you have to do is go to Jesus. He is able to fix your broken heart, ease your troubled spirit and give rest to your worried mind. Jesus is able to put joy where your sadness is, love where hate resides and healing where pain has invaded. Jesus has the wonderful ability to fix everything that is wrong in your life and put you back on track to your destiny.

Just because you are on the wrong track and going the wrong way doesn't mean that you have to continue. You can always make a U-turn. You can always use the path that God has provided for you...JESUS! Family, please don't continue to go in the wrong direction. Don't panic, don't be afraid, don't give up...just make that U-turn. Have a talk with Jesus! He's waiting on you!

Matthew 11:28-29 say, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke on you and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."
